About

Julie Barnofski Portfolio is an artist, educator, and writer. By day, she is the Grants Manager at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, America's oldest public art museum. She believes creative thinking plays a huge role in fundraising and is happy to answer questions about grant writing.

Julie has exhibited her artwork nationally and has taught photography, digital media, drawing, and art history at several colleges. She recently took a few years off from displaying and (largely speaking) making artwork to move back to her home state, get married, buy and renovate a house, switch career paths, and have a baby. She believes in staying busy. She also believes there's no shame in taking time for yourself and your family. We all create in different ways.

She lives in Connecticut with her husband and son.
